Bottesford is a significant rural centre at the northern tip of Leicestershire and Melton Borough, often referred to as the capital of the Vale of Belvoir.
The village and surrounding area has been at the centre of a key business concentration in what is a very rural environment and has in previous years been a 'go to' place for art and antiques.
The community launched a scheme in 2013 to recognise the high street shops and services together with those residing at home in the local area. This allowed people from within the villages and the surrounding area understand and know where to go to take advantage of the wide range of products and services.
